3. TB Test

Provide results of a negative Tuberculosis (TB) test completed by any licensed healthcare professional within the past 12 months. This is only required for substitute teachers working in our Kansas Schools. It is not a requirement for substitute teachers working in our Missouri Schools.

4. Morgan Hunter Education Background Check

Morgan Hunter Education completes a background check on all applicants.  The background check will be completed once an employment offer has been made to the applicant.

5. Pre-Employment Training

If an applicant is offered employment he/she will be invited to a Pre-Employment Training.  This training is the final step toward becoming a Morgan Hunter Education Substitute Teacher. The applicant will be eligible to begin accepting substitute teaching positions once this final step is complete.  The purpose of the Pre-Employment Training is to review Morgan Hunter Education and district procedures, introduce the applicant to our online system and improve confidence levels and teaching skills before entering the classroom. The Morgan Hunter Education team also wants to make sure all of our Substitutes are proficient in employing appropriate and effective teaching strategies and classroom management each time he/she takes charge of a classroom. Pre-Employment Training sessions are offered weekly.


1. Must provide Morgan Hunter Education a copy of your high school diploma.

2. Must have experience working with children Grades Pre-K-12.

3. Must complete steps 2-5 above.
