Professional Development

In our commitment to provide our districts with trained, qualified and professional substitute teachers, we offer our substitute teachers opportunities for professional development. The Morgan Hunter Education staff provides coaching and feedback calls to our substitute teachers as well as monthly information in our newsletter with classroom filler ideas, classroom management techniques and ways to keep students engaged. We also recommend that substitute teachers with an Emergency Substitute License or Content License complete the SubSkills and/or Advanced online courses. The SubSkills Training course covers classroom management, teaching strategies, special education, legal issues and professionalism. The Advanced Training Courses provide additional information on classroom management, teaching strategies and special education.

For more information on the Courses contact the Morgan Hunter Education team at 866.923.6433 or review the website.
